A Rhode Island congressman has suggested legislation to changing Halloween from October 31 to just the last Saturday in October.   On first thought sounds practical in that most working parents wouldn't hae to leave work early (darn!) and kids wouldn't have to get up for school (whatever happened to Sunday School and Church?) Anyway, sorry I drifted there.  But, call me old-fashioned, it seems if you take his suggestion for the sake of convenience, More after the jump what would stop you from the next possible legislative step of moving Halloween from pre wintry October to a balmy August night?  This congressman, not Halloween, is what really spooks me.  It's scary to think what he'd recommend for the Fourth of July.
